Well Week 3 came with little surprises, except for Div. 1AA schools beating the big boys again. The "Big" games of the week came to no surprise for me Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Oregon, and Alabama were all clear cut to win in my opinion last week. This I'm lying? Check my last blog out and see who I had to win. I improved my record to 61-7 this week from 67-11 the last week. Way more BCS schools played actually opponents last week than Week 1.
Week 1 Win Percentage: 83.6 %
Week 2 Win Percentage: 88.6%
Based on those number, I think I'm starting out pretty good projection wise. But...I have to keep it up, which is most likely going to be hard to do.
Here are my predictions for Week 3:

Games I got my eye on this week:
Cincinnati/NC State- NC State could make it really tough for the Bearcats who haven't been in tip-top shape this year.
California/Neveda- I was really impressed by Cal in their last game and that is why I give them the edge in this one. Neveda is very good with a well developed running game.
#12 Arkansas/Georgia- UGA struggled last week, but I am unsure about Arkansas. Guess this one will test it.
UNC/ Ga Tech- UNC has got some of it's players back from investigation, and played really well against LSU. If Kansas's offense can do that against Ga Tech, UNC should have no problem. We'll see.
#21 West Virginia/ Maryland- WVU struggled in their last game and Maryland got of to a great start with a win against Navy. But WVU won't fumble like Navy did.
Vanderbilt/Ole Miss- Ole Miss is playing really really bad this year. Losing to a Div 1AA team then a close game against Tulane?? Vandy has played two decent opponents and have been coming up short in both of them.
Hawaii/Colorado- Hawaii scores alot of points and Colorado just gave up over 50. I think Colorado is better, but Hawaii has been chilling in Vegas all week. Luck is on their side.
#16 Auburn/Clemson- Bothh teams are undefeated in this game. Auburn is more talented and better coached, but who knows what the SC Tigers have up their sleeve.
Southern Utah/San Jose State- If there is a Div 1AA team to beat a BCS this one is it.
Notre Dame/Michigan State- Thought a would make my friend happy and pick the Irish in this one. I have confidence in Crist.
Tell me what you think about the game this week.

Week 2 Review
A great start to a very interesting college football season. Many FBS schools have been showing the Div 1A boys who can play and who can hang with the big boys. I can't wait to follow the rest of the season and see who comes out on top in the end.
Best Team
Alabama: Bama was the best team in Week 2 absolutely. They demolished Penn St and shut them down for most of the game. Trent Richardson is a monster and might have taken Mark Ingram's spot, if I was Saban I would use the 1-2 combination alot. First down- Richardson. Under 5 yards: Mark Ingram. No one will be able to stop it the whole game. My previous best team pick Oregon struggled in the first hald, but then demolished the Vols.
Most Impressive
California and Oklahoma: I picked both teams to win their games this week, but both teams played VERY well. I thought the Cal and Colorado game was going to be WAY closer then it turned out to be. The Golden Bears' offense was really really good, and their defense was impressive also holding the Buffalos to only one touchdown in the 3rd quarter. I thought the Sooners were going to win by a couple of touchdowns, but had no idea they would run away with it in the first half. Oklahoma looks like a really really good team and might be one of the Top 5 teams in the nation. The offense in absolutely Top 5 and the defense is attacking and physical.
Worst Team
Virginia Tech: A really obvious one by their performance against James Madison. VT played extremely well against Boise State, and almost cam out with a win that would have shot them possibly in the Top 5. You could tell they were let down during the game saturday, but they let their emotions get to them TOO much. If they want to save their season, they are going to have to man up and play like they did against Boise State. They still have a chance to win the ACC, but they need to grow up FAST.
Least Impressive
USC: Southern Cal has ALOT of talent still on their team and a said to be "great" coach in Lane Kiffin. The first week their defense was getting lit up by Hawaii, but they were able to hold the Warriors of in the end. This week their offense could not score on possibly the worst team in the ACC, Virginia. I still have USC having a pretty good season, but if they have another bad week I am going to have to change that prediction in a heart beat.
Most Impressive Conference
Big 12: The only let down in this conference this year was Colorado against California. The Big 12 also had two big wins. Kansas rebounded after their horrible Week 1 performance against a Div 1AA team. They were able to outlast a ranked GT team that has an explosive offense. Another impressive win was Oklahoma over FSU. Not just because they beat them, but how they beat them. They demolished FSU by 30 points in a game that was supposed to be one of the best last week.
Least Impressive Conference
ACC: No question about this one. GT, FSU, VT, Miami. I'll give Miami and FSU a break because they were both playing teams that were better than them. There is no question about Virginia Tech's performance. Pathetic. Georgia Tech's performance was also very bad losing to a Kansas team that will not come close winning the Big 12 North. Some positives for this week for the ACC. UNC didn't lose any more players, Virginia almost beat USC, and the Duke/Wake game had the most combined points out of any two teams.
Heisman Contenders (No Order)
1. Kellen Moore
2. Trent Richardson
3. Case Keenum
4. Terrelle Pryor
5. Denard Robinson
Comments would be very nice, would love to hear what you have to say. What team dissapointed you the most? Or who else should be in the Heisman race?

The NEW Top 25
Alright well the new Top 25 is out, and honestly it surprised me ALOT. Teams this year seem to be jumping up the ranks tremendously when they beat a ranked team, or they will not move at all if the win, but keep it close. Herm Edwards even said, "You play to win the game." When by alot or win by a little you still win the game, but style points is absolutely being taking into affect in some cases.
Top 25
1. Alabama (2-0) The SEC West is strong this year so Bama will not have a cake walk to the championship game. I thought they had what it takes to go undefeated in the beginning of the season, and after seeing Trent Richardson become better than Mark Ingram they will make it to the title game.
Projected Record: 13-0
2. Ohio State (2-0) Ohio State had troubles against Miami at some points, but showed they are quite the more dominant team. Every year it seems someone from the Big 10 sneaks up on Ohio State, and I think it will be the same this year. Iowa or Wisconsin will get a win against the Buckeyes, but they will still make it to a BCS game.
Projected Record: 11-1
3. Boise State (1-0) Boise State's win against VT is diminished a little bit, but the last time VT went 0-2 they went to the Sugar Bowl and won. So I'm not sure it is quite diminished just yet. By the end of the year VT will be back up, and might go to a BCS game. Boise will have maybe a few close games this year (Oregon State and some WAC team), but they will finish undefeated and still go to the national title game.
Projected Record: 12-0
4. TCU (2-0) Interesting case for TCU. The only game I had them losing this year in the beginning of the season, was to Oregon State in week 1. Well they won, so do they go undefeated? Honestly looking at the rest of the schedule, I think they will. They have a tough game against Utah further down on their schedule, but I think they will pull it off. The question now is, if they go undefeated and Boise goes undefeated, who will go into the title game? CONTROVERSARY
Projected Record: 12-0
5. Oregon (2-0) Was really disappointed in Oregon in the first half against Tennessee, but then showed me the team that I thought they were. The team with the best offensive attack in the nation. I had Oregon losing one game this year to Oregon State in the last game of the year, but that was after I thought State would beat TCU also. Looking at the rest of Oregon's schedule I think they will have trouble against Stanford and Oregon State. I want to say they slip up to one of those teams, but until that day comes I say they ALSO go undefeated.
Projected Record: 12-0
6. Texas (2-0) At the beginning of the year, I had Texas going 10-2 with two loses in conference games. I am going to stick with my projection for them just because of the way they played against their first two opponents. Oklahoma and Texas A&M will get a piece of the Longhorns this year, next year though. I might be saying Texas all day.
Projected Record: 10-2
7. Oklahoma (2-0) My Big 12 pick at the beginning of the year struggled during their first game, then everyone thought their offense wasn't good at all, then they destroyed Florida State. I'm pretty sure Oklahoma's offense and defense is top notch. I had them going 12-1 at the beginnin of the year and that's what I'm sticking with.
Projected Record: 12-1
8. Nebraska (2-0) I am not sold on Nebraska, they are a really good team, but there just isn't anything this year they have that I'm in awe of. They will win the Big 12 North hands down, but I think two loses are in their schedule with Texas and Texas A&M. This might change but right now they are a two loss regular season team.
Projected Record: 10-3
9. Iowa (2-0) They have a tough strech of games. Four out of the next five games they are playing a ranked team, and they are for sure to slip up somewhere. I had them going 11-1 at the beginning of the season, but I'm saying they go 10-2 now. I am more selled on Wisconsin than them right now in the Big 10. Iowa will beat Wisconsin though, weird right? But will lose to Michigan and Ohio State.
Projected Record: 10-2
10. Florida (2-0) Was not impressed at all during Florida's first one and a half games to start off the year, but it seems they got things going against the Bulls in the 2nd half. I had Florida going 11-1 in the regular season, and I am going to stay with that projected. Alambama gets them twice.
Projected Record: 11-2
11. Wisconsin (2-0) I have the Badgers finish the Big 10 11-1. I had them splitting in a three-way tie in the beginning of the season, but now they will actually WIN the Big 10. OSU will still be higher ranked than the Badgers, but Wisconsin will get the trophy. Wisconsin beats OSU, beats Michigan, beats Iowa, but loses Michigan State or Purdue. Haven't decided it yet.
Projected Record: 11-1
12. Arkansas (2-0) Arkansas might have one of the best QB's in the SEC, but as a team I don't know if the Hogs have what it takes to pull of a historic season. They will have a good season, one of the best in a while, but BCS game no. The Razorbacks have 4 loses on their schedule: Alabama, Texas A&M, Auburn, and LSU.
Projected Record: 8-4
13. South Carolina (2-0) Going to school at South Carolina and going to the first two games, I witnessed that Marcus Lattimore is a work horse. South Carolina main weapon on offense is Lattimore ex. Georgia game. I'm not sold about the Cocks though as a whole, they will have a pretty good season. Just not completely sold on them just yet. Beat Auburn and I might project a 10 win season, but until then I see 4 loses.
Projected Record: 8-4
14. Utah (2-0) At the beginning of the season I had Utah going 9-3 with loses against PITT, Air Force, and TCU. Now I have the Utes going 11-1. I really would love to see the Academy beat Utah and finish 2nd in the MWC, but now I think Utah is just TOO good for them
Projected Record: 11-1
15. LSU (2-0) Previously I had the Tigers finishing 3rd in the SEC West, but I have a feeling Les Miles will get this team on the right track. I have the Tigers losing to the Gators and Tide.
Projected Record: 10-2
16. Auburn (2-0) LSU and Auburn are flip-flopped now based on their performances in the first two weeks of the year. The Auburn Tigers also have two losses on their schdule in my opinion, LSU and Bama. War Eagle is on the rise though, watch out in the upcoming years.
Projected Record: 10-2
17. Miami(FL) (1-1) The highest ranked team with one loss in the Hurricanes. They had a pretty good performance against Ohio State, and proved they have a decent team this year. I think the Hurriances have two more losses on their schedule. North Carolina and Virginia Tech. North Carolina will eventually get a lot of people back on their team to be a contender for the ACC title, and VT is still legit even though they didn't focus against James Madison at all.
Projected Record: 9-3
18. USC (2-0) The Trojans can't go to a bowl game this year, but still can have a pretty good year. I have the Trojans losing three games: Oregon, Stanford, and Oregon State. Based on their first two game, the Trojans have a LOT to work on to get back where they once were.
Projected Record: 9-3
19. Stanford (2-0) The Cardinals has a very impressive win against UCLA, they blanked the Bruins and Andrew Luck proved to be the BEST QB in the PAC 10. I have the Cardinals losing three games like USC to Oregon, Notre Dame, and California. Stanford has another impressive year without Gerhart.
Projected Record: 9-3
20. Michigan (2-0) Shoelace might be the most exciting player in college football this year. The boy is nasty. The Wolverines will only lose three games this year with a key win against Iowa and losing to OSU, Wisconsin, and Penn St. I believe that Michigan is coming back folks. Just wait and watch for the excitement.
Projected Record: 9-3
21. West Virginia (2-0) The Mountaineers kept it close again against Marshall. Every year it is a good game, and WVU pulls it out in the end. Since my previous Big East is not looking that hot this year. I say WVU goes 10-2 losing to LSU and Pittsburgh.
Projected Record: 10-2
22. Penn State (2-0) The Nittany Lions got a taste of the best team in the country last week and did not get beat THAT bad with a true freshman QB. The Lions will finish 9-3 with loses to Iowa and Ohio State. Penn State and Michigan might battle it out in a few years for the Big 10 title. Wouldn't that be pretty cool?
Projected Record: 9-3
23. Houston (2-0) I had the Cougars going undefeated in the beginning of the season, but I say they lose one game this year against Mississippi State. Houston will run the table in the C-USA, but don't really have a BIG non-conference schedule to make them a really good team.
Projected Record: 12-1
24. Arizona (2-0) Two Pac-10 teams round-out the Top 25. The Wildcats have only allowed 8 points in their first two games, but have also played Toledo and the Citadel. I have the Wildcats losing 5 games this season to Iowa, Oregon State, Stanford, USC, and Oregon. Arizona is a pretty good team, but not enough to contend for a Pac-10 title.
Projected Record: 7-5
25. Oregon State (0-1) The Beavers. They played really well in the first half against TCU, and still have a really strong offense. The Beavers have 3 more losses on their schedule with Boise State, Oregon, and Stanford. By the end of the year they will have the toughest schedule. Eventually a #2, #3, and #4 possibly.
Projected Record: 8-4
Top 25
1. Alabama (2-0) The SEC West is strong this year so Bama will not have a cake walk to the championship game. I thought they had what it takes to go undefeated in the beginning of the season, and after seeing Trent Richardson become better than Mark Ingram they will make it to the title game.

NFL Picks Week 1
The NFL is starting tonight and should be an interesting one. Well teams that have been in development finally step up (Falcons, Ravens, 49ers) or will it be the same ole' same ole' like every year. I am certain that it will be intertaining no matter what happens this year.
Predictions
Vikings at Saints. This week we start out with a rematch of the NFC title game a year ago. There are many questions going into this game. How will Brett Favre perform? Or will the Vikings get pay back against the Saints from that OT loss last year. I believe that Favre isn't up to par the way he was last year. That means, less effective passing game, Saints will key the run, some-what stop Adrian Peterson, and Brees will throw for 3 TDs. Saints win by pulling away in the second half. Saints
Falcons at Steelers. The Falcons have been decent every year, but haven't been able to get that extra push they need to seperate themselves into a DOMINANT NFC team. With Dennis Dixon starting for the Steelers, their offense will be a little one-dimensional for a while, but Dixon will get things going. Falcons establish a running game, and a spread passing offense with Ryan and get a close win against the Steelers. Falcons
Dolphins at Bills. This one is tough to call. Bills did well during the preseaon and C.J Spiller was a monster of a back. The Dolphins have two backs that play really well together splitting carries. The only question I have for the Bills is there passing game, and if they can stop the 1-2 punch that Miami is going to throw at them. Dolphins win by running, running, and running some more. Dolphins
Lions at Bears. Not interesting as many of the games in Week 1, but I'm going to go out on the limb on this one and say the Lions win. Best will surprise the Beats defense with his speed, Stafford will hook up with Calvin for a touchdown, and the defensive line for the Lions keeps the Bears somewhat in check. Lions
Raiders at Titans. The Raiders will be better than previous year, but they have to come out in Week 1 and play Chris Johnson and the Titans. Chris Johnson will not have the same year as last year, but will still be a Top 5 running back in the league, which is something the Raiders won't be able to stop. Johnson scores 2 TDs in the opening game and the Titans pull away from the Raiders. Titans
Bengals at Patriots. With all the weapons that the Bengals have this year, you would expect them to have one of the best offenses in the league. Carson Palmer still looks inconsistent in many of his throws, even though he has the VH1 Channel to throw too. Moss feels uncomfortable in New England for some reason. He should be very comfortable sunday as he finds the end zone. Patriots offense performs better than the Bengals. Patriots
Panthers at Giants. The Panthers D was really good in the preseason and will keep up that intensity this week against the Giants. I think the Giants are going to be in a down year this year, but they still have a more consistent offense than the Panthers right now. This game will go down to the wire, but the Giants have the edge in the passing game. Giants
Browns at Buccaneers. Another game that is not that interesting to the normal NFL fans, but one game that will be close and a really good game surprsingly enough. Both teams will not be able to pass that ball that well, but the Buccaneers drafted a few key receivers in Benn, and Williams. Freeman will find sucess passing to his rookie's, and the Buccaneers will win in a low scoring game. Buccaneers
Broncos at Jaguars. Not sure where the Broncos offense is headed right now, and their defense will not be as good as last year at all. MJD will score multiple times, and Garrad will find his only reciever Mike Sims-Walker when he needs him. Jaguars win at home. Jaguars
Colts at Texans. The best two teams in the AFC South meet up in Week 1 in Houston. Peyton Manning's offense will be the same as always, and their defense will stop the Texan's air game. Yes, Andre will most likely get a touchdown, but the Colts will have more points on the board when the game is over. Colts
Cardinals at Rams. Not many good things you could say about Arizona's organization right now, but they play the Rams in Week 1. Derek Anderson will have no problem hooking up with the many targets the Cardinals have and the Cardinals defense will not allow Bradford to get his first win as a NFL QB. Cardinals
Packers at Eagles. Eagles have a new QB, and a new RB. Yes they have been there for awhile and they have got reps, but the Packers have a really, really good offense. Aaron Rodgers has been a beast in the preseason, and will have no trouble against the Eagles passing D. Packers win their opener against Kolb and the Eagles. Packers
49ers at Seahawks. Mike Singletary has got this San Francisco team in the right direction. They have a well established running game, and their passing game is making strides with Vernon Davis, and Michael Crabtree. On the other hand, Pete Caroll just wanted to leave USC with that mess he left behind. He doesn't know what he is doing. Seahawks are just confused I think. 49ers
Cowboys at Redskins. Redskins are making strides on both sides of the ball, but they will be outmatched against the Cowboys defensively. McNabb will have sucess and Romo will be relatively good as well. The Cowboys also have the edge in the running game with three running backs that are able to get TDs. Cowboys win in a NFC East matchup. Cowboys
Ravens at Jets. The Ravens offense is getting better and better every week, but so is the Jets D as Revis is back in the lineup now. This game will be close and VERY PHYSICAL. Ravens O-line< Jets D-line, Ravens Backs< Jets Linebackers, Ravens WR's < Jets Seconday. Those equations will be the key in this game. Jets win by making plays on defense. Jets
Chargers at Chiefs. The Chiefs have a really good running game this year, but I'm not sure they have anything else. The Chargers will establish a balanced offense with Sproles and Matthews, and Phillip Rivers. Chargers win in at AFC West game. Chargers

Not that many upsets that many people want to pick. Miami is overrated in my opinion and Ohio State is way to talented offensively for the Hurricanes. Miami is not back if people were wondering. They are good, but certaintly not back. Many people want to pick FSU over Oklahoma baced on the Sooners horrible performance against Utah St., but Oklahoma is more athletic than Florida St. and Jimbo Fisher will not win his first BIG game as a head coach. I love the way Penn State's rookie QB performed in his first game, but it is not enough against Alabama. Also I have no idea why Oregon and Tennessee is getting a lot of coverage, because Oregon is going to hang 40+ on the Vols. The Gamecocks are going to finally beat Georgia this year not because AJ Green is out, but just because this is South Carolina's year to make that extra step. (SANDSTORM TIME IN COLUMBIA)

Week 1 Review
Week 1 in College Football finally came and didn't let down one bit. So many stories, so many headline, so many amazing endings aka Boise/Va Tech, ECU/Tulsa, UNC/LSU, Jacksonville St./Ole Miss, and Navy/Maryland. But I want to reflect on things that stood out this week by putting them in certain categories. Here are my Week 1 accolades, and well the opposite of acoolades.
Best Team
Oregon- Not only did there Offense destory New Mexico for 59 points in the first half, but as a team allowed less than 120 total yards the whole game. I'm not saying that New Mexico was a great team, but they are not a BAD team either. The whole question was if Oregon's offense would run the same without Masoli running the QB position, but I have to say they pretty much can.
Most Impressive
North Carolina- Given the situation they were in the Heels came back from a 30-10 deficit in the first half and almost beat LSU with 2 seconds to go after driving all the way down the field. Two days before the game, UNC announced 16 players were not playing in the opening game against LSU. That goes for 9 people off their defense. They got the linebackers back who shut down the LSU running game, but were left vunerable in the secondary and punt coverage because well all of the secondary was not playing. Really impressive for them to hang in there.
Worst Team
Ole Miss- Let's talk about Masoli's new team. SOME HOW, he was able to get cleared, I really don't know how, but he did. Well think Ole Miss would have one hell of a team this year? Not quite. Jacksonville State went into Oxford and silenced the Rebels with a BIG upset in 2OT, sooo much for that SEC powerhouse..It's just pathetic.
Least Impressive
UCONN- Wow, did I just say that? Yes I think I did. No one else has looked back and commented on the Huskies performance saturday. Everyone is talking about how Michigan might have a Rich-Rod offense now, and that he might have saved his job. Well I agree with finding that Offense, but I picked UConn as one of the teams that could possibly win the Big East, and when you can't beat a Michigan team who is 4-6 in the Big 10, I'm not sure you'll be able to win the Big East conference. But please surprise me Huskies because I picked you!
Most Impressive Conference
Mountain West Conference- Starting with a Thursday night upset against Pittsburgh, Utah came out swinging for the MWC. Stopping a Dion Lewis offense in overtime was more impressive than anything. Kudos. Colorado managed to beat there in state rival Colorado State this year at Colorado State. You should have one, but still. No Kudos. Then Air Force played a nobody, but established their offense impressively. No Kudos. Oregon. I already talked about how they looked like the best overall team this week, so multiple Kudos. Jake Locker who? BYU might have just shut down Washington's QB's hopes for the Heisman in Week 1. I think he might have the same chance as Reggie Bush keeping his Heisman right now. Kudos. TCU closed down defensively against the Beavers late in the game, and pulled out a win against a ranked Oregon State team. Kudos. If you were to guess who had the second best blowout game who would you say? Well I don't care, but it is San Diego State. Yes, they played Nicholls St., but they did shut them out 47-0. Kudos. Well Wyoming wasnt't that impressive against a no name team, but they didn't lose. (Kansas and Ole Miss) And the only team to lose in week 1 from the Mountain West conference was UNLV against a #12 ranked Wisconsin team, who had it close in the first half 17-14, but got dominated in the third quarter.
Least Impressive Conference
Big East- I really won't to establish that the SEC did not have a good week, but overall the Big East did not impress me at all. I already talked about Pittsburgh losing to an unranked Utah team. Rutgers won against a no name after starting out bad in the first half. Louisville couln't beat there Rival Kentucky. UConn/Michigan was already explained. West Virginia, Syracuse, and South Florida won, but Cincinnati lost to a Fresno State team without Ryan Matthews this year..hmmmmm
Heisman Contenders
1. Kellen Moore (BSU)
2. Terrelle Pryor (OSU)
3. Kenjon Barner (ORE)
4. Patrick Peterson (LSU)
5. Reggie Bush (USC)
Well I'm out people for Week 1. Week Two Predictions and key game analysis will be up tomorrow hopefully so STAY TUNED!
